Engineers and architects were consulted and they proposed drilling a hole through each floor, while discussing their plans a cleaner in the hotel overhead their conversation.

"What are you up to?" he asked

"We planning to drill a hole through the hotel" and engineer said

"That's going to make quite a mess; plaster, dust and debris" the cleaner responded

"It will be fine, we plan to close the hotel" the engineer replied

"That is going to cost the hotel a lot of money and a lot of people will be out of work" the cleaner noted

"Do you have a better idea?" an architect asked

Leaning on the mop the cleaner pondered awhile on the challenge and then suggested

"Well why don't you build the elevator on the outside!!!?"

That was a breakthrough for the hotel and by becoming the originator of an Architectural masterpiece, they also doubled their profit
